The X Factor will be housing two former Disney pop princesses at its judging table in season two!
Teen idol Demi Lovato has officially joined the Fox hit reality series as the fourth and final judge, sources confirm to E! News.
Lovato is set to join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and fellow newbie judge Britney Spears when the show returns in September.
While Fox isn’t commenting on Lovato’s hiring, the 19-year-old singer is expected to make an appearance tomorrow at the network’s upfront presentation in New York City. Spears is also expected to appear at the event where a formal announcement about the duo joining the show will be made.
News of Lovato officially joining the show was first reported by TMZ.
Last week, Spears finalized her deal to join the show. As we previously reported, Spears will get $15 million for one season’s worth of work.
Before Lovato signed on, The X Factor was reportedly courting fellow former Disney star Miley Cyrus, but sources told us she was never approached with an offer.
Cowell had been on the hunt for two judges to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger since he fired them in January.

Demi Lovato is a believer in the paranormal, which means she was the perfect target for a ‘Punk’d’ prank involving ghosts in her recording studio. MTV has released a clip of Lovato’s episode of ‘Punk’d,’ which airs in its entirety next Thursday at 10PM ET.
“This is my episode of ‘Punk’,’ baby!,” exclaims Nick Cannon, who serves as guest host for this episode. His Lovato prank involves the help of Alex and Jack from All Time Low. Lovato and friends are working on a song in a studio when strange things begin happening.
First, she hears unexplained breathing on the playback. Then, Demi and her team freak out when they see a ghostly image of a woman sitting at the piano. Lovato told MTV, “I’m a sucker for, like, ghosts and aliens and stuff like that, so they got me pretty good.”
Lovato admitted she worried that creator Ashton Kutcher might target her if Punk’d ever came back on the air. “I always wondered if it was gonna come back around, and if it did, if I would be one of them,” she said. “For years, if someone was rude to me in the gas station, I’d be like, ‘Where’s Ashton?’”
Also receiving the ‘Punk’d’ treatment next week is singer-actress Ashley Tisdale, who is tricked into thinking the car she’s riding in ran over a pedestrian.
According to a few sources out there , Demi Lovato will set to perform at the “Today Show” (NBC) on Tuesday, March 6th. So mark your calendars and check your local listings!

Demi Lovato is giving fans an insider view of what life’s been like for her since leaving a treatment center last year, documenting it for the MTV special “Demi Lovato: Stay Strong,” debuting Tuesday, March 6, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
The special will follow the singer in her most private moments, as she deals with her very public recovery from personal issues, including an eating disorder and cutting. “Stay Strong” shows her confronting these problems while still working on her career, including going back on the road for a tour. Since leaving a trek with the Jonas Brothers in the fall of 2010 to enter treatment, the singer has leaned on the support of her family, friends and devoted fans, known as Lovatics.
Lovato will go into detail about the events that caused her to seek treatment and how she decided to share her personal struggles and journey with the world.
“I wanted to share my story but I knew it had to be honest, it had to be real,” Lovato said in a statement. “I have daily challenges but so do many kids who are struggling to feel comfortable in their own skin. If opening up and sharing my story inspires even one person to stay strong or to get the help they need, I’ve succeeded.”
Fans will get to hit the road with the singer, as well as travel home with her to Dallas, Texas, to see her family. She will also head back to the Illinois treatment center she entered in November 2010.
Lovato first teased the project on Tuesday when she tweeted a photo of her tattooed wrists reading “Stay Strong.” “Lovatics-I wanted to tell you FIRST about a special I worked on with @MTV,” she tweeted. “It premieres March 6th at 10pm!! #staystrong”
Lovato hit the road late last year for a solo trek shortly after dropping her third album, Unbroken. The personal record included the chart-topping hit single “Skyscraper.”
The special will air on MTV channels internationally starting in the spring. For more information, head to StayStrong.MTV.com.

Demi Lovato has been very involved with charities for a long time now. And she recently teamed with her friends the Kardashians and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. They recently did the taping together and you can see a clip of Demi on stage with the team. It is located down below.
I am so happy that Demi is keeping on doing her good charity works. I think it does her a lot of good and of course, it also does good for those in need. I think she is a perfect example of what we should want the future to be like. I love that she has been doing so much and yet still makes time to join in this show. It sounds like she has her priorities set straight.
How do you feel about her and the Kardashians joining to help a family in need? It was the sweetest thing they could do. Sure, some might say that it was a smart marketing move to make, but I think there is a lot more to it than we see. I doubt they would just do that for the sake of the media. Sure, I doubt they hate the media knowing about it-, but they have to have a whole lot more to them that that.
