ARTICLE: Demi Lovato Reveals She’ll Be Recording A Fourth Album Soon

In an interview at the KDWB State Fair, Demi Lovato stated she is soon entering the studio to record her fourth album.

Demi Lovato’s third album Unbroken essentially served as a sonic testament to her career rebirth: She got through her eating disorder, cutting, and addictions and was now ready to be a clean and sober star. To show that she’s truly on the right path, Lovato revealed this week that she is entering the studio soon to begin work on her fourth studio album.

Speaking at the KDWB State Fair, Lovato stated that, after her VMA pre-show performance, she expects to return to the studio. From there, she plans to spend two months putting together the release.

Aside from recording, Lovato has been a judge on the latest season of the U.S. X Factor, sitting on the panel with Britney Spears and L.A. Reid. However, a recent news story revealed that the singer and actress returned to her hard-partying, pre-rehab lifestyle. Lovato says this is false. She described the change in her life, going from drug- and alcohol-fueled club appearances to now surrounding herself with positive people: “I surround myself with people who make positive decisions and who have more interests than wanting to go to clubs and get wasted. My friends and I look out for each other, and I love just inviting everyone over to watch TV.”

Along with refuting such statements, Lovato spoke in depth about her struggles, which led to a three-month stay in a treatment center in 2010. Nevertheless, the change was not a simple flick of a switch, and the singer continues to work through her issues: “I’ve spent the past two years getting over an eating disorder and issues like self-harming and bipolar disorder. I have to work on this stuff every day. I’m reminded of that whenever I eat or feel down.”
