I’ve just added concert photos from Demi’s St. Paul show into the gallery.
I’ve just added photos from the Gillette Leading Man Cam At unite4:humanity event from last month, along with photos from Demi’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon this week.
Good news for Harmonizers and Lovatics: Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony aren’t just going on tour together, they’re also collaborating!
“Of course there’s plans to collaborate with them,” Lovato told MTV News. “I adore them so much. They’re such sweet girls and I really think they’re going to go far in this industry. I’m glad I could that I could be a part of it by helping put them together and taking them on the road. It’s really exciting.”
As for their upcoming Neon Lights tour, Lovato promised it’ll be different from her previous sets. “You can expect a show I’ve never put on before. Other shows I’ve had have been all about the music. I want it to be about girl empowerment,” she revealed. “I want it to be a huge party that everyone has fun at, just an incredible experience.”
And now for another burning question on Lovatics’ minds: When will we hear new music from her?! The ex-’X Factor‘ judge promises she’ll work on new tracks while she’s on breaks from her tour. “I’ll definitely be writing every chance that I get!”
Demi Lovato has selected “Neon Lights” as the third single from her recent album Demi, and the video is coming as soon as Sunday night — as the songbird revealed with a little teaser video on her Facebook page. Showing neon letters (I see what you did there, Demetria) spelling out the name of the song.
It’s a simple visual, but promising — especially if we get some shots of Demi in club attire. Expect the video to premiere at 6pm ET on Sunday, September 29.
Given the song’s heavy EDM influence, it’s the most obviously radio-friendly out of the remaining tracks on Demi, but it was also one of the worst-received critically upon the album’s release, which makes it a curious single choice. Ah well. A new Demi video is better than no Demi video at all, right?
Singer discusses her upcoming role as Santana’s lesbian love interest…
Demi Lovato has discussed her upcoming role on hit US show Glee, saying that she hopes her character will inspire others.
The X Factor USA judge has been signed up for a multi-episode arc in season five of the musical drama, as Santana’s love interest.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, she said: “I get to play a lesbian on the show and that’s something that I feel like hasn’t really been brought to primetime with, you know, a young actress.
“And I think it represents where our society is today. It’s becoming the norm and I’m really glad that I get to represent that – how far we’ve come.”
The Heart Attack singer went on: “You know, 15 years ago you wouldn’t have seen that on TV, but now people are becoming more comfortable with it and I’m glad that I get to represent that, and also, just hopefully inspire people with my character to love who they are and accept who they are and not give a c**p what other people think.”
Lovato added that she has enjoyed working with her friends in the cast, and praised 21-year-old Lea Michele, who returned to the set soon after the tragic death of her boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith.
“She’s great,” Demi said. “She’s such a strong woman and I’m so proud of her. Love her so much.”
The new series of Glee begins in the US on 26 September, with the show to be broadcast by Sky1 in the UK within seven days of the US premiere.
Demi Lovato will be pulling double musical duties for FOX in the fall when she appears on the network as a judge for The X Factor and as Rachel Berry’s friend on Glee.
Adam Lambert all but confirmed the news in a tweet to Lovato: “I just heard the news! Excited to sing w you girl!” But then he fired off another tweet: “*IF the rumors are true! Lol.”
According to TVLine, we’ll see Lovato in at least six episode on Glee, starting October 3, which is the second of two episodes that pay tribute to The Beatles. She’ll play Dani, a struggling artist friend of Rachel and Santana. She’ll have frequent scenes with another guest star who’s no stranger to FOX — Adam Lambert of American Idol fame. His character is also based in New York City and will be Kurt’s enemy.
At the very least, her and Lambert’s characters should give some more life into the New York world of the show, which felt underdeveloped and underwhelming last season.
Lovato has been focusing on her music career, and Glee will be her first acting gig since her Disney Channel show Sonny with a Chance ended two years ago.
How will Lovato be appearing on two shows at the same time, especially when one — The X Factor — is eventually taped live? Glee will be working around her schedule on the singing competition. Anyone else think the time she spends on the Glee set could be used to, I don’t know, work with her X Factor singers?
