Lovato takes VH1 stage in studded leather jacket and sky-high heels to perform ‘Give Your Heart a Break.’
Demi Lovato has had a pretty big 2012, and to cap it all off, she had an equally huge moment when she took the “VH1 Divas” stage for the first time on Sunday.

After an introduction from “Divas” host Adam Lambert, the “X Factor” judge wowed the crowd as she was lowered from the rafters of Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on a bubble-type swing as she belted the lyrics of her chart-topping single, “Give Your Heart a Break.” Clad in a studded leather jacket and sky-high heels, she brought a heavy dance beat remix version of the song as she worked the stage in front of a group of back-up dancers.

After her show-stopping performance, Lovato took to Twitter, not to talk about her big moment, but fellow Disney alum, Miley Cyrus’ rocking rendition of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell.”

“How great was @MileyCyrus’s performance tonight?,” Lovato tweeted. “Beautiful, stunning and bad ass. All in one #rockstar.”

Cyrus returned the love to Lovato, tweeting, “@ddlovato well you know the feelings mutual boooo…. Beautiful, stunning and don’t get me started on THAT ass.”

Next up, Lovato will be completing her first season as an “X Factor” judge as the second season for the show comes to an end this week. None of her contestants made it to the finale, but she will help to decide the fate of the remaining three contestants — Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens and Fifth Harmony — as they battle it out for the $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music.
