The show must go on!

Demi Lovato refused to let her fans down last night by putting on one heck of a show in her hometown of Dallas, TX. Despite suffering from bronchitis, Demi was still all smiles as she belted out hit after hit from her new album.

Before hitting the stage, the songstress tweeted:

Woke up so sick this morning but I WILL NOT let it stop me from putting on a killer show in my hometown tonight!!! Come on Dallas TX!!!!

Unfortunately, Demi’s sickness hit back and the singer had to cut her set short by one song. But not to worry, Demi is still up and ready to take New Orleans tonight. She recently reassured her fans on Twitter:

I’m still so ready to rock it out tonight!

Ouch!

Demi Lovato lost a serious chunk of her hair during a concert in Kansas City last night. (Lucky it wasn’t actually her hair, though).

It looks like the singer got her ring caught in her weave as she did a little head banging move. But she got on with the show like a true professional – even if the hair was still hanging off her hand. OMG get it off, get it off!

Check out the video up top. Jeez, we hope it didn’t hurt too much!

Seventeen contributing editor Demi Lovato looks back on spending the holidays in rehab last year and why this year she’s stronger and more grateful than ever before.
By Demi Lovato

As many of you know, last year at this time, I was in treatment. I spent Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve away from my home and family which is why I am so excited to be with them this year. Thinking about how far I have come in a year makes me so thankful. I could not have done this without God and the amazing support from my family. They have stuck by me through everything and love me just the way that I am. That is a wonderful feeling to know that people accept the real you. Honestly, I am thankful for my life path, including the highs and the lows, because it has caused my true self to shine through. Going to treatment was a gift and I believe it saved my life. I learned how to be strong and healthy even through struggles. It also helped me open up about my issues and share them with others. Knowing that my family, friends and fans accept me for who I am is the greatest feeling ever!

What a difference a year makes – I cannot believe I’m out on tour again! I just got done with my first show in Detroit. What an amazing crowd! Sometimes I cannot believe how lucky I am to be on the road and doing what I love every night. I am even going to perform in my hometown, Dallas, over the Thanksgiving holiday. I am so excited to spend Thanksgiving with my family in Texas. They are so much fun! Every Thanksgiving my entire family (about 50 people) gather around and eat tons of food and talk for hours. Since I do not get to visit Dallas as much as I would like, I really appreciate my time there with everyone.

I am so thankful that I am healthy and happy this year. I no longer take things for granted, like my family, friends, fans and career. Each day is special to me and I take each day one day at a time.

Sometimes people get busy and forget to enjoy the moment – but I know I will not do that this holiday season. I have worked very hard to get to the place I am today and I am going to enjoy every minute of it! I wish all of you a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

Stay Strong!

Love,

She speed through the horrifying experience, but hopefully they got her nice and scared! We wonder how many times she screamed! From the looks of this picture, maybe one too many times?? You should be having fun, gurl! Did you go to a haunted house this year?? What was the scariest moment??

Demi Lovato bundles up in black as she prepares to enter the Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights on Sunday evening (October 30) in Universal City, Calif.

The 19-year-old actress and singer used her “front of the line” pass around her neck to help speed her through all the scary rides and mazes.

Demi has been feeling healthier and happier than ever!

“My fans are asking how I’m doing… And lemme tell you, I’m not okay… I’m doing AMAZING!!! :) happier and healthier than ever before!!!” She tweeted.

Demi added, “Don’t call yourself a fan unless you support my happiness and health. That will always come before my career.”

November 1, 2011

Demi Lovato has been very involved with charities for a long time now. And she recently teamed with her friends the Kardashians and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. They recently did the taping together and you can see a clip of Demi on stage with the team. It is located down below.

I am so happy that Demi is keeping on doing her good charity works. I think it does her a lot of good and of course, it also does good for those in need. I think she is a perfect example of what we should want the future to be like. I love that she has been doing so much and yet still makes time to join in this show. It sounds like she has her priorities set straight.

How do you feel about her and the Kardashians joining to help a family in need? It was the sweetest thing they could do. Sure, some might say that it was a smart marketing move to make, but I think there is a lot more to it than we see. I doubt they would just do that for the sake of the media. Sure, I doubt they hate the media knowing about it-, but they have to have a whole lot more to them that that.

It’s been just over a month since the release of Demi Lovato’s third studio album, Unbroken. Even though the album didn’t give Lovato her highest Billboard chart debut — Unbroken debuted at #4, while her first solo album, Don’t Forget, debuted at #2 and her sophomore album, Here We Go Again, debuted at #1 — the 19-year-old’s latest effort was not only a favorite among Lovato’s loyal fans but a critics’ favorite as well.

“I was really surprised that the critics loved it,” Lovato told MTV News. “I was very excited about it, and I’m really thankful that they do because critics can be hard. So anytime you get a good review from them, I’m really thankful about it.”

Coming off the success of the first single, “Skyscraper,” an inspirational ballad, Lovato is ready to get her Lovatics on their feet with her new single, “Who’s That Boy.”

“It’s just a fun, upbeat song,” Lovato said of the second single. “It’s flirty, it’s sexy, it’s exciting and I love it. I think it’s radio-friendly, and I think it’s a good choice for a second single.”

The song features electro-pop singer Dev, one of the many collaborators Lovato worked with on the album — others include Jason Derülo, Missy Elliott, Timbaland and Iyaz.

“Dev is really good,” Lovato said. “Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic actually wrote the song and produced it and he was the one that got Dev on the song.”

Lovato said they’ve “thought about” shooting a video for “Who’s That Boy” but do not have a shoot date.

Next on the singer’s list is her upcoming tour. Lovato hits the road next month for 10 dates, beginning November 16 in Detroit, where she will be able to showcase this very special album for her fans.

“Making the album was a personal journey for me; it was kind of like a roller coaster,” Lovato said. “I was going through so much over the past year, but at the end of it I just wanted to inspire people and just give them music to have fun dancing to and listening to, and hopefully I accomplished that.”

So what’s the one song off Unbroken that Lovato can’t get enough of?

“I think it would be ‘Unbroken,’ ” Lovato said. ” ‘Unbroken’ is my favorite song off the album. What I love about that song so much is that it’s upbeat, it’s fun to dance to, I love blaring it in the car. It’s one of those songs.”

What do you think of “Who’s That Boy”? Let us know in the comments!
